Frequently Asked Questions have been categorised into the topics located in the FAQs menu at left.
- Is it cheaper to enter a team?
Teams receive a $10 discount on the adult non-member entry price. Teams must pre-pay 10 entries to receive this discount.
- Which rides can a team enter?
Teams can enter into the Great Brisbane Bike Ride or the BDO Brisbane Coot-tha Challenge. Please note your team can not allow riders into each ride, you must select one or the other.
- Can members of my team do different ride distances?
Team members can only do the distance relevant to their event. For example: teams in the Great Brisbane Bike Ride can do either 30 or 50km, however, teams in the BDO Brisbane Coot-tha Challenge can only do the 80km.
- Are pre-paid entries refundable?
No. Once you have pre-paid your team entries any entry not allocated to a rider by close of entries will be forfeited.
- How many do I have to have in my team?
Teams must have a minimum of ten (10) to enter. You may enter more members at any point before close of event entries (5pm Thursday 15 March 2012)
- How does the team registration work?
The team coordinator enters and pays (by credit card) for at least ten entries online. The team coordinator will receive a confirmation email including a unique entry link for your team. This link then needs to be sent to your team members to individually enter their details.
- Do each of my team members need to individually enter?
Yes. Each team member must enter using the team unique link and agree to the event Conditions of Entry (on Info Sheets page).
- How do I know who is in my team?
The Team Coordinator will be sent an email each time a team member joins. If someone has entered twice in error please contact Bicycle Queensland.
- Do I have to ride as the team coordinator?
No, when setting up the team online you will be asked if you are riding.
- I’m in a team, how do I register?
You need to register through the unique link which your team coordinator will send you.
- Can I transfer my entry to a team entry?
No. If you have entered as an individual into one of the mass participation rides you cannot transfer into a team.
- My company requires an invoice before they will pay the entry fees?
Contact Bicycle Queensland with your company details, number of entries, team coordinator details (name, email and phone numbers) and BQ will contact you to arrange the set up of your team.
- Can I add more people to my team after the initial entry process?
Yes. There are two options, either add more pre-paid entries or have individuals pay for themselves.

If you have pre-paid for 10 entries and all 10 people have entered the 11th person will be advised all pre-paid spots have been taken and payment must be made.- When do team registrations close?
Team registrations must be completed by close of entries (5pm Thursday 15th March).
- Will my team rider kits be sent to all team members?
Rider kits will be individually posted to each team member who enters before 4pm 8th March, or held at the chosen location for BDO Brisbane Coot-tha Challenge. Those who enter after 4pm 8th March until 12th March will need to collect their kit from the BQ office or River City Cycles (for BDO Brisbane Coot-tha Challenge entrants only) on 14th, 15th or 16th March 9am - 6pm.
If you enter after 12 March please collect your kit from Musgrave Park on Saturday 17th March (1pm - 4pm) or Sunday 18th March (5am - 6am).
